Fit Cannot Be Judged From a Listing
More sunglasses get abandoned over fit than over optics, and it is the one thing a product page cannot tell you.
Frames too wide slide down when you sweat. Frames too narrow press on the temples and produce a headache over a long day, which is a poor trade for glare reduction.
Nose bridge shape matters more than width for most people. A bridge that does not match your nose puts the entire weight on two small points, and adjustable nose pads solve it where fixed ones cannot.
Lens height relative to your cheekbones decides whether they rest on your face when you smile or look down, which is both uncomfortable and a reliable way to smear a lens.
None of that is knowable before wearing them, which is the honest argument for buying inexpensively first and learning what your face needs. Mine fit fine, and that was luck rather than research.
Looking After Them
Lens damage is what ends most pairs, and almost all of it is avoidable.
Never wipe a dry lens with a shirt. Dust on the surface acts as an abrasive and drags across the coating, which is how lenses acquire the fine scratches that scatter light.
Rinse first where you can, then dry with a microfiber cloth. On trail that frequently is not possible, and the better option is leaving a smudge until you can clean it properly.
Store them in a case rather than loose in a pack. Sunglasses at the bottom of a bag under a water bottle do not survive long.
Sunscreen is the specific enemy, since it transfers from your face to the lens and is genuinely difficult to remove without damaging coatings. Applying sunscreen before putting sunglasses on, and letting it absorb, reduces it considerably.
